How to Repair HOLE IN DRYWALL CEILING (Plasterboard)

How to repair hole in drywall ceiling any size In this video I show you the steps you can follow to repair a hole in your drywall ceiling and walls. You need to cut some drywall to fit the space and cover the hole. I like to start with a piece that’s slightly larger trace around the area of drywall you want to cut out . Remember to screw into some fixed framing members as well. When taping I use a quick drying mud that you will need to mix up yourself. Combined with that i add some Accelerator to a portion of my mix and use that to tape in and do the initial skim coat with. That way the second coat can go on because the taping coat is dry with the remainder in my bucket still pliable. I use Fibafuse to tape my joints because its flat and doesn’t bubble, It’s important that you don’t use premixed compound if you need to get it done fast and i believe its not as strong. You can also use some salt if you need it to dry it quicker which generally is easy to find.
