Here are some of pro drywall taping tips and tricks from the Drywall Gangsters finishing crew. They leave the joint full on the first taping coat to ensure that the recesses will not shrink back to allow a thin coat on the next pass. The mud consistency inside the Tapepro Mud Box is more liquid than the mix that is used for going over the top. All the excess mud is wiped away leaving only the filled recess joint. This is still considered as the first coat as I done straight away so keep in mind that there are still two coats to go over the top of this.
